When you choose to work with Hardwood Floors by Fred Silva, Inc., you’re getting a partner in the process. We start by getting to know you as an individual or a family and understanding your goals and needs for flooring. Then, we consider your vision for the space and the space itself—the size, climate-specific needs, and how much traffic an area receives. Once we’ve decided on the scope, color overlays, design work, and other details, we get to work.
Since the beginning…
We’ve worked with the highest quality German and domestic tools that allow for precision cutting and the fine details that set our custom hardwood floors apart. We operate with minimal impact to your home’s environment, using environmentally friendly, no-dust processes that keep the mess to a minimum. We recommend a mixture of flat, riff, and quarter-sawn woods such as red oak, white oak, and European oak. The porous woods we use are optimal for the high desert environment of Central Oregon and last from season to season.

How to Care for Your Custom Hardwood Floors
After we’ve installed your hardwood floor, there are a few things you can do to increase its longevity and protect its design. For years, we’ve trusted Bona products to keep our floors clean and vibrant. But the number one thing we recommend is simply running a dry mop over your floors once a day.
When cared for correctly, your custom hardwood floors should remain the same for decades.
